This Privacy Policy explains what information John Battle Spirits ("we," "us") collects when you visit johnbattlespirits.com , why we collect it, and the choices you have. We wrote it to describe what this site actually does, rather than to cover every situation in the abstract.

Purchases are handled on a separate site. When you check out you are taken to barcart.johnbattlespirits.com , operated by our e-commerce and fulfilment partner. Payment details are collected and processed there, under that provider's own privacy policy and terms — not by this site. We never see or store your full payment card details.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Newsletter sign-up — your email address, and your name if you provide it.
• Contact and trade enquiries — whatever you include in the form or your message.
• Sweepstakes and events — the details requested on the relevant entry form.

This information is stored in our customer relationship platform (Go High Level) and used to reply to you and, where you have opted in, to send marketing email. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, we use cookies and similar technologies to understand how the site is used and to measure our advertising. Specifically:

• Google Analytics 4 — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you arrived. Used to understand traffic and improve the site.
• Meta (Facebook) Pixel — records that you visited, which pages, and whether you later purchased, so we can measure our advertising and show you relevant ads on Meta platforms.
• Strictly necessary storage — your age-gate confirmation and your shopping bag are kept in your browser's local storage so the site works. These stay on your device.

When you complete a purchase, our server sends the order value and items to Google Analytics and Meta so the sale can be matched to the visit that led to it. Where that includes personal details such as your email address, it is irreversibly hashed before it is sent — we do not transmit your email address to Meta in readable form.

• To measure and improve our advertising and understand which content works.
• To meet our legal obligations, including age-verification and alcohol-marketing rules.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do share limited information with the service providers that make the site work — analytics, advertising, email and e-commerce platforms — so they can perform those functions for us.

Under California law, using the Meta Pixel to measure and target advertising is treated as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising . If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of the sharing described above, and not to be treated differently for exercising those rights. Email us and we will respond.

Age restriction

This site is intended only for people of legal drinking age in their location — at least 21 in the United States. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Retention and security

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as the law requires. The site is served over HTTPS and we apply access controls to the systems holding your data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you more prominently.
